EEASA merger with Ai Group July 1, 2009 marks an important and historic day for the Engineering Employers Association South Australia (EEASA) and the Australian Industry Group (Ai Group). This marks the merger of EEASA with Ai Group and from 1 July, EEASA becomes the South Australian branch of Ai Group. This is a strong and positive move for industry in South Australia, and nationally, and brings together two leading organisations working for a common cause of advancing Australian industry. The merger offers all Ai Group members a wider representational reach, a broader depth of services and the opportunity to build on national networks and infrastructure. At the same time, the new Ai Group South Australian branch will continue to provide all members with a strong local voice. Our organisations have worked closely for many years and the overwhelming member support in the merger ballot reinforced the fact that the amalgamation was a perfect fit. 95% of EEASA members who participated in the Australian Electoral Commission ballot supported the merger. EEASA has been a long standing affiliate of Ai Group and together we have been providing the best representation in public policy and services for our members. Now with the merger, we look forward to the prospect of new opportunities for members who operate business in South Australia and beyond, across the many different sectors which make up the various facets of Australian industry. Ai Group South Australia members have access to the Ai Group website where all member information and services are available. Members can access members-only information after logging into the site using your username and password. If you require assistance with this contact the Ai Group Web Help Desk via email or call 1800 009 311. This website will remain active to September 30, 2009. Heather Ridout |
